I saw FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION last night while sucking down 4 New Castles. Then I roamed around downtown and ran into a million people. Good Times! Super funny film. So who is down for the bars this weekend?

I'M 21!!!!!!!!!!!

I went to the city for my 21st to see TENACIOUS D!!! I went up with Derrick and Matt Cheney. We hit up a really fancy upper-class bar before the show and I got a FREE $9 double-shot of Grey Goose. The D ruled my face cuz I was stoned off my ass. We got some EPIC IN-N-OUT on the way back. And Derrick got pulled over for going 90 mph on 280, but no ticket.


So who is down to hit up the bars this weekend?

Im trying to book GCF in Santa Cruz but the only date on the tour they can get in sc is October 18th. Well they are worried that no one will show up cuz that same night Bane is playing in San Fran and the 17th Bane will be in SC. They feel kids will only show UP to one of the shows or go to the second Bane show instead. WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!!!!!

Hey guys! I havnt been on LJ since JUNE. Fuck man. Well live is good right now. CABRILLO owns my life as usual. Im taking Geography 1, Geography Lab, Accounting 1, and English 49a. Two weeks into it and i havent done anything. Arsenic Productions is helping me with my business major. It teaches me how to network and budget money. The last 3 shows have been our most fun. We have a really good one on the 22nd. GO! Im currently talking to ISSA of GOOD CLEAN FUN and i might get them to come back in October at the 418. i love booking shows. i only booked two shows so far but they are really differnt from the rest we have been doing, so that we are not known for only booking metalcore bands. I booked the DECREPIT BIRTH show and GENGHIS TRON show. Check out COMADRE and GRAF ORLOCK. They are my favorite bands right now.

Oh shit i just got he new Shadows Fall in the mail today. Its doesnt come out till tuesday. Well i just got back from BFD. It was totally worth the $13 to just see ANTI-FLAG, THURSDAY, and FRANZ FERDINAND. i got my first job interview tomorrow morning with zumiez. wish me luck.

It was so worth $34. Also, Despised Icon opened, who were also amazing. Behemoth sucked. It was my third metal show i ever been to since i saw Lamb of God on their first west coast tour. Before that My first metal show was Motorhead and Morbid Angel (all original line up).

MY MUSICAL LIFE: A CHRONOLOGY

Third Grade: For some reason my neighbor got me a BON JOVI tape for my birthday. This is when I start my hatred for BON JOVI. Seven years until i start smoking weed.

Fourth Grade: The same neighbor turned me on to GREEN DAY. "Dookie" was the very first cd I ever bought.

Sixth Grade: I moved to Las Vegas to meet Travis who turned me on to PENNYWISE, BLINK-182, and MXPX. My view on music is forever changed, "fight till you die!".

Eighth Grade: I go to my first concert at the Brookedale lodge with HERE KITTY KITTY, AUDIOCRUSH, JETLAG, and LONELY KINGS. The Santa Cruz scene owns my nuts from here on out. One more year until I start smoking weed.

Ninth Grade: First day of school I smoked my first bowl. For some reason I can not stop listening to PRIMUS, BECK, and CKY.

Tenth Grade: My girlfriend introduces me to THURSDAY and BOY SETS FIRE. MTV2 becomes my new god. A group of terroritsts fly a plane into the World Trade Center, destroying the buildings. Fucking Niggers.

Eleventh Grade: I get introduced to hardcore through the local band THE SKY IS A WALL. I attend my first Jim Dandy show (EVERGREEN TERRACE) and first Pound show (THROWDOWN). Hardcore takes over my life. A wave of Patriotic fever sweeps the nation. Like in Nazi Germany, sixty-five years before, country music tops the charts. Then the inevitable happens: Larry the Cable Guy becomes popular. I attend my first SLAYER show.

Twelfth Grade: 'Nick Bane' is born. Johnny introduces me to a bunch of rad kid in the SC hardcore scene. I no longer go to shows by myself (yay). I stop smoking weed. Jim Dandys closes. Im pissed so i go to a STRIKE OUT show and knock out a security guard. I learn to become 'posi'. I saw BEASTIE BOYS, RADIOHEAD, and IRON MAIDEN, Im STOKED!

First Year at Cabrillo College: xTDCx begins and ends with in one year. It was good times rolling out to shows together. I realize that RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE is the greatest band of all time. I can not stop going to Pound shows.

Second Year at Cabrillo College: Joel, Derreck, and I start putting on shows in SC. I cant stop listening to noisecore and underground hip hop. I start smoking weed again two weeks ago.

2) Who is your favorite comic writer? oh shit where do i start. at the moment MARK MILLER because his detail to story is amazing because WANTED is one of the best comic books ever written and now he has gone on to do the ground breaking, DC universe shattering, IDENTITY CRISIS and INFINITE CRISIS. the upcoming CIVIL WAR has a lot to live up to, but im sure he will out do himself like always. but i can never forget my god, KEVIN SMITH. that man changed the way people looked at DAREDEVIL And GREEN ARROW. shit i forgot BRIAN BENDIS. this guy helped the Spider-man franchise more then any writer could ever.

3) Would you ever consider getting crunked with me? your in luck i stopped claiming four weeks ago and im so down!

4) With a privelleged background such as yours, where did you learn to have a more liberal perspective and be socio-politically aware?
surprisingly THE DAILY SHOW. i have been watching the show since CRAIG KILBORNE used to host it. then i saw MICHAEL MOORE on c-span at a ralph nador rally one day and i was hooked on him and he totally lead me down the road of liberalism.

5) Are you enough of a Bane fan to deserve your nickname? I fuckin love bane. one of my favorite bands of all time. no other hardcore band can write songs and sound solid as they do. and im always singing along at everyone of their shows. but do i DESERVE the nickname, maybe! rage against the machine will always by my favorite band of all time. im just glad "nick bane" took away attention to my real last name "Dill". also i love kim for giving me the nickname.

P.S. The Santa Cruz hardcore scene needs to get its act together.

oh what a shitty day. i got a call from my mom calling me out on my sexuality. Shes worried im turning gay. and she has seen it in my clothes, friends, and hair style. she said she will still love me but she says my dad will disown me. and to top it off, she mocks my dating life cuz i only had one girlfriend. well shows you how little she knows. so i ask you, do i come off gay?
